HOW TO USE

When you receive the KK SS08 Grinder, note that only the handle is not installed. Please fit it after unpacking and cleaning the unit.

Mount the Body

Secure the grinder body to the edge of your countertop or workbench. Ensure it is firmly clamped using the screws, leaving enough clearance for the handle to rotate freely.

Insert the Auger (Spiral Shaft):

Slide the auger—also called the “dragon”—into the body of the grinder.

Fit the Cross Blade:

Place the cross-shaped blade onto the front of the auger shaft. The sharp edge should face outward.

Attach the Grinding Plate:

Position the round grinding plate so that its notches align with the projections on the body.

Secure with the Locking Ring:

Screw on the ring nut and tighten it moderately—firm enough to hold, but not so tight that the handle cannot rotate smoothly. (Loosen about 1–2 mm / 1⁄16 in after fully tightening if the handle feels stiff.)

Install the Handle:

Align the handle with the slot at the end of the auger and fasten it securely with the provided screw.

Use cold meat (below 4°C / 40°F) for best texture.

Semi-frozen meat grinds more cleanly and efficiently.

Trim off sinew, gristle, and excess fat.

Cut Size

Slice meat into strips or cubes about 2 cm (3⁄4 in) thick before grinding. Larger or smaller pieces reduce performance.

For burgers, add about 10% pork or beef fat for moisture (avoid beef suet).

Clearing Blockages:

If the handle becomes hard to turn, rotate it counter-clockwise to clear the jam. You may also loosen the ring, remove the plate and blade, clean them, and reassemble.

Use about 20% fat for best results.

Grind once, mix in seasoning, then grind again.

Swap out the knife and plate for the stuffing tube.

Slide your casing on, tie the end, and feed the meat through slowly.

Easy as that.

Wash all parts in hot, soapy water, rinse well, and dry completely.

Spray metal parts with food-grade silicone to prevent rust

Store fully dry and assembled for next use.
